Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 — Treyarch Promises the Biggest Season in Franchise History New maps, weapons, and events are coming as Treyarch sets the stage for an explosive start to Black Ops 7’s post-launch content
Treyarch is setting the bar sky-high for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. During the latest Dev Talk, Senior Producer Yale Miller confirmed that Season 1 will be “the biggest season we’ve ever done in franchise history.”
The developer teased a massive lineup of new maps, weapons, gadgets, and Zombies content — with even more planned for later seasons. While Season 1’s exact start date hasn’t been revealed yet, we already know it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious rollouts in Call of Duty history.
🗺️ New Multiplayer Maps Incoming
Black Ops 7 will ship with 18 multiplayer maps at launch on November 14, but Season 1 will expand that number significantly with seven additional maps.
Treyarch’s official roadmap calls this their “most massive season yet,” featuring a mix of new arenas and remastered classics from Black Ops 2.
Here’s the full list of Season 1 multiplayer maps confirmed so far:
- Nuketown 2025 (launching November 20, 2025)
- Fate
- Utopia
- Odysseus
- Standoff (remastered)
- Meltdown (remastered)
- Yakei
Fan-favorite Nuketown 2025 returns with a colorful redesign and “new wall-jump spots,” blending nostalgia with modern movement mechanics.
🧟♂️ Zombies Expands With Three New Maps
The Zombies experience in Black Ops 7 is also getting a major content boost.
At launch, players can explore Ashes of the Damned and Vandorn Farm, but Season 1 will add three more terrifying battlegrounds:
- Astra Malorum (steampunk observatory map, launching with Season 1)
- Exit 115 (neon diner-themed survival map)
- Zarya Cosmodrome (space launch facility coming mid-season)
These additions will expand the ongoing Dark Aether storyline, offering new boss fights, Easter eggs, and survival challenges.
🔫 New Weapons, Gadgets & Game Modes
Treyarch is loading up Season 1 with seven new weapons, including several fan favorites making their long-awaited return:
- Maddox Assault Rifle (from Black Ops 4)
- Crossbow
- Ballistic Knife
- Plus four new guns yet to be revealed
On top of that, classic party modes like “Sticks and Stones” and “Prop Hunt” will arrive shortly after the season begins, alongside a brand-new killstreak — the Dead Eye Drone.
Treyarch also teased limited-time holiday events to keep the action fresh throughout the season.
🚀 Treyarch Promises More Massive Seasons Ahead
If you think Season 1 sounds huge, Treyarch says this is just the beginning.
“Season 2 and all of our other seasons are gonna be huge,” the studio confirmed during the Dev Talk.
“We’re not taking our foot off the gas.”
That means players can expect a consistent stream of new content, modes, and updates well into 2026.
🏁 Final Thoughts
With a massive selection of maps, returning weapons, Zombies expansions, and classic modes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 is shaping up to be one of the most content-packed updates in franchise history.
Treyarch’s message is clear: they’re going all-in on post-launch support. Whether you’re dropping into multiplayer, surviving Zombies, or testing out new gear, this season will be one to remember.
