All Confirmed Black Ops 7 Zombies Maps: Ashes of the Damned, Astra Malorum, and More From a massive wasteland map guided by a robotic companion to a steampunk observatory filled with cosmic horrors, here’s every confirmed Zombies map coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
After the mixed reception to Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode in 2023, Treyarch is back to reclaim its crown with a full-scale revival of the round-based experience in Black Ops 7.
Blending the classic Tranzit-style exploration with the ongoing Dark Aether storyline, BO7 Zombies offers a mix of standard, survival, and arcade modes. Players can look forward to massive maps, mechanical upgrades, and fan-favorite characters — all wrapped in that signature blend of chaos and lore that defines Treyarch Zombies.
Here’s everything confirmed so far.
💀 Main Zombies Maps at Launch
🔥 Ashes of the Damned
The flagship Zombies experience in Black Ops 7, Ashes of the Damned is shaping up to be one of the largest Zombies maps ever made, rivaling iconic maps like Tranzit from Black Ops 2.
Set across a scorched wasteland dotted with derelict farms and eerie landmarks, this map brings back a familiar face — TEDD, the sassy robot bus driver from Tranzit. Only this time, TEDD isn’t behind the wheel of a bus. He’s your digital companion aboard Ol’ Tessie, a beat-up pickup truck that serves as your primary mode of transportation through the sprawling map.
🧰 TEDD Tasks
Much like SAM Tasks from BO6, Ashes of the Damned features TEDD Task consoles scattered across the environment. Interacting with these triggers random challenges — anything from timed kills to scavenger hunts — with loot and Essence rewards for those who complete them.
👹 Special Monsters
Zombies aren’t your only problem this time. As rounds progress, players will face new enemy types like:
- Ravagers – Fast, low-to-the-ground creatures similar to BO6’s Vermin, perfect for ambushing distracted players.
- Zursa, the Elite Monster – A monstrous, blighted bear capable of ranged parasitic attacks. It summons swarms of “Zombees” that damage anyone nearby.
⚙️ Saw Blade Traps
Returning traps make a bloody comeback, including the Saw Blade Trap. Spend Essence to activate it, and it’ll lure nearby undead toward spinning blades for an instant kill — a perfect panic button during high-round chaos.
🌌 Astra Malorum (Season 1)
Arriving in Season 1, Astra Malorum is a new large-scale Zombies map set in a steampunk observatory that Treyarch design director Kevin Drew described as “one of the coolest maps we’ve ever made.”
Its name translates to “the stars of evil,” hinting at cosmic puzzles and constellation-based Easter eggs. Early teasers suggest ties to space exploration and possibly the mysterious Cosmodrome POI, leaving fans to wonder whether this map will literally reach for the stars.
⚔️ Zombies Survival Maps
Survival mode returns as a tight, high-intensity variation of the standard experience. These smaller maps strip away the narrative quests, focusing purely on endurance and teamwork.
Each survival map mirrors a specific Ashes of the Damned location, complete with all the core features — Mystery Box, Pack-a-Punch, Der Wunderfizz, crafting benches, and traps.
🌾 Vandorn Farm (Launch Map)
The first confirmed Survival map, Vandorn Farm, made its debut in the beta and immediately proved itself to be a compact, chaotic challenge.
Featuring two farmhouses and a small shed, the map includes:
- Der Wunderfizz machine (upstairs in the residential home)
- Mystery Box (in the shed)
- Pack-a-Punch (upstairs in the main barn)
- Arsenal and power quest (in the basement)
Space is limited, so teamwork and timing are essential — especially when the Ravagers start swarming.
🍔 Exit 115 (Season 1)
Releasing with Season 1, Exit 115 looks like a nostalgic throwback to the neon-soaked 1950s diner aesthetic — a likely homage to Zombies’ campier roots. It’s small, fast-paced, and perfect for quick survival runs.
🚀 Zarya Cosmodrome (Season 1 Reloaded)
Set for the midseason update, Zarya Cosmodrome focuses on a spaceship preparing for launch. Expect vertical gameplay and tight corridors as players fight their way through one of the later areas of Ashes of the Damned.
Treyarch has hinted that the map’s height and structure will add a new dimension to survival gameplay.
🎮 Dead Ops Arcade 4 Arenas
The fan-favorite Dead Ops Arcade mode makes its return in Black Ops 7 as Dead Ops Arcade 4. This over-the-top, top-down experience includes 20+ unique arenas, featuring environments like:
- Ancient ruins
- Archaeological dig sites
- Jungle temples
- And possibly even Nuketown
Players can now switch between the classic overhead camera and a new first-person mode, battling through waves of enemies and the notorious Silverback family in one of the most chaotic side modes ever made.
🏁 Final Thoughts
Treyarch is doubling down on everything fans love about Zombies — massive maps, memorable bosses, and rich Easter eggs — while introducing new mechanical depth and replayability.
From the grim landscapes of Ashes of the Damned to the cosmic mystery of Astra Malorum, Black Ops 7 is shaping up to deliver one of the most ambitious Zombies experiences in years.
Stay tuned — more maps like The Fog, Ashwood, and Blackwater Lake are rumored to join the rotation in future seasons.
