Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.31 Adds New AutoDrive Features, Photo Mode Upgrades, and Fixes CD Projekt Red expands AutoDrive, improves photo mode, and squashes key bugs across PC and Mac
Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve nearly five years after its original release. The newly released Patch 2.31 builds on the recent 2.3 update, refining AutoDrive, upgrading photo mode, and fixing a wide range of issues across platforms.
Here’s everything you need to know about the latest improvements.
🚗 Vehicle & AutoDrive Improvements
One of the standout changes in Patch 2.31 is the upgrade to the AutoDrive system:
- Vehicles driving to a destination now move more smoothly, overtake blocking traffic, and ignore stoplights.
- In Free Roam mode, AutoDrive follows traffic laws for a more realistic cruising experience.
- Fixed a bug where Johnny Silverhand always spawned in the passenger seat when using Delamain Cab.
- Resolved a flashy bug where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru made its wheels flicker in different colors.
📸 Photo Mode Enhancements
Photo mode has also received some welcome tweaks:
- Most new poses from Update 2.3 now work with any character gender.
- NPC collision disabled, making it easier to pose extra characters on top of objects like car hoods.
- Fixed an issue where certain poses didn’t work properly for Royce.
🗺️ Quest & Open World Fixes
Several story and side content issues were addressed, including:
- Freedom: Corrected a faulty journal entry if players chose not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
- Motorbreath: Fixed multiple bugs, including flipped vehicles, missing follow-up texts, and quest triggers when River is dead. Players can now obtain the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they fail "The Hunt."
- Nitro (Youth Energy): Fixed potential crashes, UI cutoff problems, and stability errors related to the Yaiba showroom.
⚙️ General Improvements

- Corrected ray-traced reflections on PC and Mac.
💻 PC-Specific Fixes
