FURIA Takes the #1 Spot in Counter-Strike 2’s Global Rankings The South American powerhouse dethrones Team Vitality to claim the top position in Valve’s official CS2 leaderboard

After an impressive run across recent tournaments, FURIA Esports has officially climbed to the top of Valve’s Counter-Strike 2 Global Rankings. The Brazilian organization now holds 1,959 ranking points, narrowly edging out longtime frontrunners Team Vitality, who sit just behind at 1,950 points.

It marks the first time in months that Vitality has been dethroned from the #1 spot — a major milestone for South American Counter-Strike.

🧩 A Tight Race for the Throne

The current standings are closer than ever. While FURIA sits on top for now, both Team Vitality and Team Falcons are right on their heels.

  • FURIA — 1,959 points
  • Team Vitality — 1,950 points
  • Team Falcons — 1,949 points

All three teams are still competing at IEM Chengdu 2025, which could shake up the rankings again within days. Falcons have already secured a semi-final spot, while Vitality is battling to stay alive in the lower bracket against Astralis. Depending on how the rest of Chengdu plays out, another shift at the top could be imminent.

🇧🇷 FURIA’s Rise Continues

FURIA’s climb to #1 underscores just how consistent their recent performances have been across CS2’s top-tier events. The team’s blend of raw aim, aggressive setups, and momentum-driven energy has made them one of the most exciting squads to watch in 2025.

Their leadership, anchored by KSCERATO and arT, has carried them to multiple playoff runs this year, and their latest results at IEM Chengdu could further solidify their dominance if they continue their streak.

🧠 What’s Next

With the StarLadder Budapest Major on the horizon, all eyes are on whether FURIA can maintain their momentum. Vitality and Falcons remain close contenders, and with only a few points separating the top three, the race for the #1 global ranking is far from over.

For now, though, the crown belongs to Brazil.
