Madden Legend Henry Wins Kickoff Challenge at MCS Henry “Henry” Leverette kicks off the season with another Madden NFL 26 Championship victory

Madden superstar Henry “Henry” Leverette kicked off the new season in style, capturing the Kickoff Challenge title at the Madden NFL 26 Championship Series. The Chicago native secured a 52-27 victory over Jonathan “JonBeast” Marquez of Hartford, Connecticut, in the final at Full Sail University Orlando Health Fortress in Winter Park, Florida.

Henry is no stranger to Madden glory. He previously won the Madden Bowl team event in 2021, and later claimed the solo championship in 2022 and 2024, while finishing as runner-up in 2023. His latest victory adds another trophy to an already impressive collection.

The semifinals saw Henry defeat “Lambo” 38-28, while JonBeast edged out Nolen “Gucci” Crumpler 42-35 to secure his spot in the final. Henry’s journey began with a 38-31 win over Mehki “Nine” Corpening, and JonBeast made a statement by routing John “MrFootball88” Britt 38-16. Meanwhile, Gucci overcame Drini “Drini” Gjoka, the 2019 Madden Bowl champion, with a 31-28 victory.

Commenting on his latest win, Henry acknowledged the competition:

“I already said what I said before, the job ain’t finished. We had somebody pass us for the best year ever, so it’s my job to take that spot back. We got ladders literally in a few days, I’m locked back in for that. This is just another piece of the collection.”

The Kickoff Challenge is the first of a series of tournaments leading up to the Madden Bowl, featuring a $1.5 million prize pool. Top performers from the Kickoff Challenge, Most Feared Challenge, and Zero Chill Challenge will secure their place in the Madden Bowl. Players who haven’t qualified yet can still earn a spot through the Last Chance Qualifier.

All upcoming live events—including the Most Feared Challenge, Zero Chill Challenge, and Last Chance Qualifier—will be held at Full Sail University, setting the stage for another thrilling season of Madden NFL 26 competition.
