Keanu Reeves Open to Returning as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2 Actor expresses excitement about reprising his iconic role in CD Projekt Red’s upcoming sequel

Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has revealed that he would “absolutely” reprise his role as Johnny Silverhand in the highly anticipated sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Known for blockbuster roles such as Neo in The Matrix, John Wick in the John Wick series, and John Constantine in Constantine, Reeves made a memorable transition into video games with his performance in 2020’s Cyberpunk 2077.

🕹 What This Means for Cyberpunk Fans

Although Reeves is eager to return, official confirmation is still a long way off. CD Projekt Red currently has multiple projects in development, with The Witcher 4 taking top priority. Reports indicate that 444 developers are working on the next Witcher title, while 116 are assigned to Cyberpunk 2.

Given these numbers, the release window for Cyberpunk 2 is likely much later, possibly around 2030, although exact dates have not been confirmed.

🌆 A New City Awaits

While details remain scarce, recent insights suggest that Cyberpunk 2 may leave the iconic Night City behind. Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG, hinted that players will explore “another city” in the sequel. Although Pondsmith isn’t as heavily involved in development as he was for the original game, he continues to check in periodically on the project’s progress.
