Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Gameplay Leaks Give Fans First Look at Combat Newly surfaced clips and screenshots offer an early peek at Skydance’s long-awaited Marvel game
Marvel fans just got their first taste of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra — though not in the way developer Skydance New Media or publisher Plaion intended. Supposed early gameplay clips and screenshots have leaked online, giving players a small glimpse of what the World War II-era adventure could deliver.
🎮 First Look at Black Panther in Action
The leaked footage is short, lasting just 15 seconds, but it puts the spotlight on Black Panther (Azzuri). In the clip, he takes on four rifle-wielding soldiers inside a dimly lit bar. His moveset looks fast and acrobatic, featuring a combo finisher capped off with a front-flipping kick.
At one point, Black Panther leaps clear across the room and over the bar in a single bound, hammering home his superhuman agility. While trailers released so far have focused on cinematic storytelling, this leak — if genuine — marks the first time actual player-controlled combat has been seen.
🖼️ Screenshots Tease WW2 Setting
Alongside the gameplay clip, several alleged screenshots have surfaced, reportedly from a team member involved in development. These images look more polished than the video and showcase a variety of environments:
- An underground railway tunnel lit dramatically.
- A lavish hallway with period details.
- Several outdoor wartime settings.
Interestingly, every leaked screenshot follows Black Panther’s perspective, keeping the rest of the ensemble cast — Captain America (Steve Rogers), Nanali, and Gabriel Jones — under wraps.
📅 What’s Next for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra?
Originally revealed in October 2021, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has been through multiple delays. The game was first expected to launch during the 2025 holiday season, but its release has now been pushed to 2026.
When it finally arrives, players will be able to control four characters:
- Steve Rogers’ Captain America
- Azzuri’s Black Panther
- Nanali, leader of the Wakandan Spy Network
- Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos
🕹️ Marvel’s Busy Gaming Future
The delay sets Rise of Hydra up to release during what could be a stacked year for Marvel gaming. Other projects in development include:
- Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games
- An untitled Blade game from Bethesda and Arkane Lyon
- EA’s standalone Iron Man project
With so many titles on the horizon, 2026 may become a landmark year for Marvel fans in the gaming world.
