Update on NBA 2K MyPLAYER League at 1v1Me
At 1v1Me, competitive integrity is non-negotiable. Because our platform involves real-money staking, we hold both players and users to strict standards around fair play, transparency, and conduct.
Following an internal integrity review, we are sharing an important update regarding our NBA 2K MyPLAYER League.
Integrity Review Findings
After investigating abnormal activity and reviewing match data, account behavior, and staking patterns, 1v1Me identified coordinated conduct that violated our competitive integrity and wagering rules within the NBA 2K MyPLAYER League.
Based on the evidence reviewed, 1v1Me determined that the following individuals engaged in conduct on the platform that compromised fair competition:
Players Involved in Integrity Violations
- Amrin Mann (“TakeoverSZN”)
- William Hoover (“AyCartii”)
User / Staker Involved
- Kristopher Boyajyan (“Squidward”)
Kristopher Boyajyan (“Squidward”) is not a league player, but a 1v1Me user and staker. Our review found that he participated in coordinated activity with the individuals listed above that violated 1v1Me’s integrity and wagering rules.
We also determined that he is personally associated with Amrin Mann outside of the platform, and that this relationship was relevant to our findings.
Additional Rule Violation (No Match Manipulation)
Separately, our review determined that:
- Nathan Sabony (“Streaky”) was not involved in coordinated match manipulation, but violated 1v1Me rules by placing stakes—directly or indirectly—on matches in which he was participating.
All 1v1Me players are strictly prohibited from staking on their own matches, whether directly or through another user. Players are compensated to compete, and any wagering activity connected to their own gameplay undermines competitive integrity.
Impacted Matches and User Refunds
To protect users and ensure fairness, we have fully refunded all stakers who lost money on matches that were confirmed to be involved in collusive behavior.
Refunded Matches
- December 16: Larcq vs TakeoverSZN
- December 10: Slump vs AyCartii
Team Slump and Team Larcq were not involved in any integrity violations.
Our findings were isolated to the individuals named above, and no wrongdoing was identified on the part of those teams.
All refunds have been processed directly to affected users in the above matches only.
League Closure Decision
As a result of these violations, and to protect the integrity of the platform, 1v1Me has made the decision to permanently shut down the NBA 2K MyPLAYER League, effective immediately.
The individuals named above have been removed from participation on 1v1Me, and all related accounts and activity have been reviewed and restricted in accordance with our rules.
Player Payouts and Future Eligibility
Players who were not permanently banned as part of this investigation will still receive their full December payouts for participation in the NBA 2K MyPLAYER League.
Additionally, players who were not found to be involved in integrity violations may be eligible to compete in other leagues and formats on 1v1Me in the future, subject to standard eligibility requirements.
No penalties or withheld compensation have been applied to players who were not involved.
Commitment to Fair Play
Our platform only works if:
- Matches are played honestly
- Outcomes are earned competitively
- Staking activity is fully independent from the players competing
Any coordinated effort to compromise those principles is taken seriously, and we will continue to enforce our rules consistently and decisively.
Community Conduct
We do not condone harassment, threats, or abuse toward any individual. Any users engaging in such behavior on or off the 1v1Me platform will be subject to enforcement action.
Moving Forward
We continue to strengthen:
- Integrity monitoring and detection systems
- Player and user conduct enforcement
- Separation between competition and staking activity
- Proactive audits across all leagues on the platform
While the NBA 2K MyPLAYER League is now closed, our commitment to fair, transparent, and trustworthy competition across 1v1Me remains unchanged.
We appreciate the community members who raised concerns and helped bring this issue to light.
