With the release of NBA 2K26 right around the corner, 2K and Visual Concepts have officially unveiled the redesigned version of The City, a hub that continues to be the centerpiece of the franchise’s online basketball culture.


🎮 A More Accessible and Competitive Layout

According to NBA Development VP Erick Boenisch, The City has evolved into the “epicenter of NBA 2K and basketball culture.” This year, it features a streamlined, more accessible design that puts competition, community, and status at the forefront. For the first time ever, players can navigate The City in smooth 60fps.


🏀 Returning & Redesigned Parks

Fans of past entries will be excited to see remastered versions of all four MyParks from NBA 2K16, each redesigned for today’s gameplay experience. Compete for Park MVP honors while exploring these nostalgic but refreshed playgrounds.


👥 New Crews and Leaderboards

The City also introduces:

  • New Crews for team-based competition.
  • Redesigned leaderboards to track your performance.
  • Extra VC rewards for breaking another team’s winning streak through the Streak Breaker bonus.

🏆 Pro-Am Summits & Street Kings Mode

  • Twice each season, players can compete in 3v3 and 5v5 Pro-Am Summits, high-stakes events that showcase team skill.
  • The new Street Kings mode allows you to challenge skilled CPU bosses on Streetball courts, refining your game against elite opponents.

📅 Expanded Challenges & MyPlayer Flexibility

To keep gameplay fresh, NBA 2K26 has added:

  • Beginner, Daily, Seasonal, and Lifetime challenges.
  • The ability to swap between MyPlayer builds seamlessly without leaving The City.
