Rashid Shaheed Calls Out Madden 26 After Electric 87-Yard TD vs. Giants The Saints wideout wants EA Sports to “fix his speed” after torching the Giants defense in record fashion

The New Orleans Saints finally snapped their eight-game losing streak with a 26–14 win over the New York Giants — and Rashid Shaheed made sure it happened in style. The speedy receiver caught four of five passes for 114 yards and a touchdown, including a stunning 87-yard bomb from rookie QB Spencer Rattler that sent the crowd into a frenzy.

But after the game, Shaheed had just one thing on his mind — his Madden 26 rating.

⚡ “Ayy Fix My Speed @EAMaddenNFL”

Following the viral touchdown clip, Shaheed hopped on X (formerly Twitter) with a playful message for EA Sports:

“Ayy fix my speed @EAMaddenNFL.”

In Madden 26, Shaheed currently sits at an overall rating of 79 with 93 speed — an impressive number by most standards, but one that clearly doesn’t match his real-life burst. According to Next Gen Stats, Shaheed hit 21.72 mph on the play, while the TV broadcast clocked him even faster at 22.72 mph.

His reaction?

“We’ll go with that one. TV’s right.”

🏆 A Momentum-Changing Performance

The score came in the second quarter after Shaheed faked a crossing route, broke toward the sideline, and outran the entire Giants defense. The touchdown gave the Saints a lead they wouldn’t surrender, and the energy carried through the locker room.

“It feels good to come into the locker room to music, with everybody smiling and dancing,” Shaheed said postgame. “That’s what we work hard for. It all paid off this week.”

The Saints dominated the second half 10–0 to close out their first win since December 8, 2024, improving to 1–4 on the season. They’ll next face the New England Patriots, looking to build on the momentum of their long-awaited victory.

🕹️ Madden 26 Fans Join the Debate

Shaheed’s highlight instantly sparked conversation among Madden fans, many agreeing that 93 speed feels too low for one of the NFL’s fastest receivers. With several players having voiced similar requests this season, it wouldn’t be surprising if EA Sports takes another look at his attributes in the next roster update.

For now, Saints fans — and Shaheed himself — can bask in the glow of a long-awaited win and one of the best deep-ball plays of the NFL season so far.
