Shilo Sanders Officially Removed from Madden 26 After Unexpected EA Sports Update EA Sports has pulled Shilo Sanders from Madden 26 following his release from the Buccaneers, marking a surprising turn in the young safety’s career

EA Sports has made a surprising move by removing Shilo Sanders from Madden 26, following a rocky start to his professional football journey.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, Shilo entered the NFL with high hopes after a standout college career at Jackson State and Colorado. But after going undrafted and facing early setbacks, his Madden presence has now been erased — at least for the time being.

⚡ From College Stardom to a Tough NFL Reality

After a strong collegiate career, Shilo expected to follow in the footsteps of his brother, Shedeur Sanders, who slipped to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft before joining the Cleveland Browns.

Shilo’s own NFL journey started when he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent. Unfortunately, his stint was short-lived — he was released shortly after being ejected and fined for throwing a punch during a preseason game.

The San Francisco 49ers later brought him in for workouts, but ultimately decided not to offer him a contract.

As of now, the former standout safety remains unsigned, which has directly led to his removal from Madden 26.

🎮 EA Sports Removes Shilo Sanders from Madden 26

Shilo Sanders was originally included in Madden 26 due to his brief time with the Buccaneers. However, with no team currently on his résumé, EA Sports quietly removed him from the game’s roster.

Players who had already signed him in an offline franchise mode can still access him, but for everyone else, Shilo’s character has been completely pulled from the active database.

If you still want to play as Sanders, you’ll have to return to College Football 25, where he remains part of the roster from his Colorado days.

🙌 Staying Positive Off the Field

Despite the setbacks, Shilo has handled his situation with humor and optimism. After being released by Tampa Bay, he posted a video addressing fans with a positive outlook on his future.

More recently, he went viral for dressing up as his brother Shedeur, fooling fans outside a Browns game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His energy and charisma continue to keep fans entertained, even as he works toward another shot at the NFL.

🔄 Could Shilo Return to Madden 26?

If Shilo Sanders signs with another NFL team, EA Sports will likely reinstate him in the next roster update. For now, though, his removal reflects his current free-agent status.

It’s an unfortunate but realistic depiction of the challenges faced by many undrafted players — and a reminder that in both the NFL and Madden, rosters change fast.

While Shilo’s professional career has hit a pause, his resilience and personality continue to win over fans. If he gets another chance on the field, expect Madden 26 to welcome him back just as quickly.
